5 Reasons Why You Should Never Lose Hope

What is hope?

"To hope is to anticipate something good to come in the future. Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on expectation of positive outcomes with understanding and respect to the events in our lives or the world."

Our Story

For almost 14 years of being apart, it was truly a miracle to see my whole family complete. It has been a long difficult journey that almost led us to lose hope, but because of not letting go of hope, here we are TOGETHER again.

My brother's first visit in the US with his wife. Truly a memorable moment we will never forget. To eat and to gather together as WHOLE.

During my brother and his wife's second trip back in the US from Canada, we managed to do our first family vacation in 15 years. Sharing a few photos of our family vacation last summer in Florida.

Looking at them while I was snapping this photo made my heart truly happy. A proof that even if it feels like there's no hope, God hears your prayers and all we need to do is to trust and continue to patiently wait for the right time.

A fun moment to keep and to remember forever!

Everyone has their own battles they go through everyday. No matter how strong or confident you think you are, you will always have good and bad times in some point in your life. When things gets tough, you can easily lose hope without even noticing it. Having hope is a necessary tool to keep us moving forward and to never give up. Here are reasons why you should never lose hope..

1. Life is NOT Perfect

When we come to an acceptance that there is no such thing as a perfect life, we will come to understand there's a reason for every action. Never compare the life you have with others. No matter how perfect others' life may seem, there will always be a battle we know nothing about. Having hope when life throws us the unexpected, helps us handle the situation better. We must continue to cultivate positive thinking and learn how to use failures and disappointment as a tool of finding success.

2. Hardships are Temporary

I hear this often when I attend a workout class in the gym. The instructor will always say "pain is temporary!" which I feel like goes well with this. While working on myself personally, I am slowly developing a better attitude towards on how I should react to certain situations. I learned to become more positive and responsible of my actions. I learned that trials will eventually go away and are not permanent as long as we make an effort to make a difference. Hardship is always tough, but I want you to know that there is an end and it will come one day. Just be patient and trust yourself and keep your head and hopes up.

3. Nothing is Impossible

Through time, life has proved us that anything is possible. Just by the world we live in, we have things now that used to be impossible twenty, ten and even five years ago! Life continues to amaze us every single day. A few years ago, I thought it would be impossible for me to run a marathon or do a half ironman BUT I did without knowing how to swim to begin with! Having hope and knowing things are possible is what makes you unstoppable. Just know that the power of hope is stronger than you think and you never know what amazing thing can happen next. Just keep aiming for that goal.

4. We Have A lot to be Thankful for!

When we go through sorrow, we let ourselves be consumed with the negativity and the despair it brought to us that we lose sight of the things we need to be thankful for. When a vacation got cancelled, when you break up with your boyfriend or went through a divorce, and when you're having such a horrible day at work, know that at least you still have your friends that listens to you. You have a family that guides you, a roof over your head, food to eat every single day, and a clean water to shower and bathe with. With all these being said, does life still sound awful to you? Let's focus on the all the positive things rather than the negative. I know sometimes we lose track of what's important but always stop and think about the actions and choices you make in life. You will live happier and more peacefully if you practice gratitude.

5. Difficulty is Part of Life

Difficulty is part of life and nothing always comes easy. We can try our best to avoid every possible difficult situation but when it is meant to happen, it will. If you see sorrow and difficulty as part of life, you will learn to accept that these difficulties are things we are meant to experience. These experiences will help us understand more about life and will teach us how to handle things better in the long run. Never lose hope when things gets hard. Instead, go by accepting the hardship and learn from it. Life is all about experiences so we can live a better life and we can become better people. With hope, life will get better.

Please always remind yourself that...

"Hope is not pretending that troubles don't exist...

It is the hope that they won't last forever...

That hurts will be healed and difficulties overcome...

That one day, we will be led out of the darkness and into the sunshine." <3
