Hiking Angel's Landing in Zion National Park, One of the Most Dangerous Hikes in the U.S.

We landed in Vegas and decided to rent a car. We took the scenic drive to go to Utah and visit Zion National Park.

Angel's Landing in Utah's Zion National Park is definitely not an easy task. From beginners to the pros, this hike can be quite challenging. It is one of the most famous excursion in America. With its beautiful red rock landscape, Angel's Landing is also undoubtedly its most hair-raising. The two and a half mile trail leading to Angel is pleasant enough for nearly any level of hikers with sections that are even paved. After you've completed Walter's Wiggles - as seen on the picture below, there will be a series of 21 switchbacks to the last turnaround point.

From then, the final half a mile will be a tight squeeze through the steep, carved rock and narrow ridges and points only accessible with the help of support chains that are bolted to the rock walls as seen on the photo below. Better hold on tight! or else it will be a long deadly drop.

It was an unexpected hike for us. We were not wearing the right shoes for it, which is what I highly recommend for everyone to have when hiking this trail. Safety first and don't do what we just did. :P

Make it through and you'll be rewarded with a majestic view from nearly 6,000 feet.

It is important to wear the proper hiking gears when hiking Angel's Landing. We were lucky to have a beautiful fall weather in November when we went. In case for any weather changes, be prepared. List of what to bring during the hike;

-hiking shoes

-proper clothing depends with the weather

-hiking sticks/trekking poles

Always check for the weather and be aware of your surroundings.
